History

William L. Bahl, Jr. attended Denver Automotive and Diesel College completing all basic and advanced diesel fuel system programs.  He was hired, pre-graduation, by Robert Bosch, and returned to Chicago working in their remanufacturing programs. Then promoted to technician  for  developing  the Dodge Cummins diesel VE pump.  (1st VE pump application) He proved himself to BOSCHS ‘’UO’’ department replicating his workmanship with application engineers.

To gain more diversified service experience, he headed to Florida working for both Southeast Power of Orlando and Everglades Diesel (Ft. Lauderdale) two of largest diesel fuel injection shops in the state. While employed at Everglades William Bahl worked closely with local MAN Dealers resolving operational faults of Bosch Injection Pumps on MAN Marine ENGINES.

In fall of 1992, relationship with Everglades Diesel because untenable.  At this time, his father, CFO for an industrial operating division of the Brunswick Corporation, was forced out as sell-off of division of division components completed.  They combined talents and, in early 1993, with support of Robert Bosch and Southeast Power of Orlando, formed International Fuel Injection Service.

IFIS developed a strong working relationship based on quality and honesty.  As dealers became comfortable with shop operation and workmanship, opportunity to serve MAN Gulf coast, upper East coast and Great Lakes dealerships became a reality.

IFIS is one of very few authorized Bosch repair facilities still servicing older gasoline injection pumps found in vintage Mercedes Benz and Porsche project vehicles.

IFIS remains committed to all facets of the marketplace and with investments in Bosch Common Rail technology stands ready to serve all your diesel fuel injection demands of both today and tomorrow.
